Andrew Wester

Taking up the game of golf at a young age Andrew quickly developed a deep passion for the game and all its intricacies. As one of the top junior golfers of his class in New England, he spent countless hours playing and practicing in the cold and participating in events through the US Challenge Cup, New England PGA, FCWT, and other regional and international junior events. Following a Division I College Golf Career at Monmouth University and The University of Rhode Island, Andrew decided to take his abilities and love for the game and use them to help develop and grow the next generation of golfers. Since then, Andrew has spent time at some of the finest Private Clubs in New England, working with some of the top Junior and Collegiate Golfers in the region.

While his love and passion for golf has brought him to many wonderful places, one of the few he ever envisioned it taking him was into a role as an Athletic Performance Coach. Utilizing his education as a Kinesiology Major concentrating in Applied Exercise Science, he quickly learned to tailor his knowledge base towards golf to help his students achieve their maximum potential both on and off the golf course. Attaining the Certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist allows him the opportunity to work with some of the best Junior Golfers in New England not only on their golf game, but to help enhance their athletic ability through advanced training programs and structured practice and tournament schedules.

When you come by KOHR Academy you will find Andrew in the Performance Center working with golfers of all ages and abilities to help them enhance their efficiency in their swing, as well as to try and help them gain some extra distance on the golf course. When he is not in the Performance Center you will find him roaming the practice facility offering help whenever possible, or on occasion working on his own skill as a golfer. He is still an active player, and has many goals for 2018 including trying to return to the National PGA Assistant’s Championship, as well as multiple other top finishes throughout New England.
