The Academy.
The KOHR Golf Academy, founded by Bill McInerney, is a one-of-a-kind program that offers young golfers a unique experience to learn and train. Players entering the Academy will have an extensive evaluation of their game and golfing goals. Playing ability, goals, and time commitment are all considered, and then a plan is carefully crafted, to meet the specific needs of each student. Training will cover all areas of the game including full swing, short game, on-course management and disciplines, incorporating perfect practice to daily regimen, and a personalized golf-specific physical conditioning program. The player’s performance in all areas is monitored throughout the season. Students utilize technology to log rounds on a daily basis and our coaches are in constant communication with our students and tailor all practice sessions to maximize improvement.
The Elite Academy Program runs from January through the end of October, and is specifically designed for players between the ages of 8-17. A limited number of applicants are accepted into this program each year.
KOHR Academy also offers a seasonal (spring and/or fall) program called the Training Camp. Training Camp consists of 2 levels. Level I is designed for young passionate golfers with some experience and aspire to improve their golfing skills. Level I practices 3 hours per week(Wed/Fri 4pm-5:30pm). The Level II program is designed for the young golfer who is interested, or beginning to, compete in junior golf events. Level II consists of 6 hours of practice per week (Tues/Thurs 4pm-6pm & Sat 9am-11am). Both levels of the Training Camp program also include on-course training.
