Junior Clinics & Programs.
Sessions
KOHR Golf offers Junior Programs throughout the year – allowing young golfers to participate in programs beginning as young as age 4 (S.N.A.G) all the through age 16 (Training Camp – Level II). Each program is tailored to meet the student’s appropriate age and ability. Our introductory clinics (S.N.A.G & Let’s Go Golf) prioritize engaging junior golfers with a variety of fun activities and practice drills that begin to build the basic fundamentals and athletic skills needed to start playing on course. If you are not sure which program is best for your child reach out to info@teamkohr.com with any questions.
S.N.A.G. CLINICS: (4-6 yrs. old)
S.N.A.G. (Starting New At Golf). A fun first step into golf, SNAG is the perfect introduction to golf for young kids who are brand new to the game. This program focuses on building basic coordination, confidence, and excitement around golf in a fun, low-pressure environment. We use SNAG equipment, which includes lightweight plastic clubs with oversized faces and tennis balls, making it easier, and safer, for young kids to learn. Each session is set up like an adventure course – the kids aim at targets, hit shots, run to collect balls, and repeat – all while learning the very basics of golf. We also introduce simple “holes” to play, and, occasionally take trips to the putting green and driving range to start building familiarity with the real golf environment.
This program is best for:
● Kids Ages 4–6
● Brand new golfers with little to no experience.
● Kids who learn best through movement, games, and exploration.
LETS GO GOLF CLINICS: (7-10 & 11-15 yrs. old)
Let’s Go Golf is designed for kids who are either brand new to golf, or still early in their development. This is the perfect program for players with limited experience who want to learn the basics, or strengthen their fundamentals, in a structured and fun environment. Each class meets once per week for one hour. Every session is split between time on the driving range and time in the putting/chipping area. Players work on swing basics, short game skills, and basic athletic skills that relate specifically to golf. This class is a great fit for kids who have played a some golf, but have never had formal instruction and would benefit from learning how to practice correctly. Group games and challenges are a big part of each session – keeping sessions engaging and competitive – in a positive way.
This program is best for:
● Ages 7–10 or 11–15 ● Beginners, or players with limited experience.
● Kids who want to learn the basics and build confidence.
● Players who are not yet playing or practicing consistently on the course.
TRAINING CAMP
Training Camp – Level I (Ages 7–12)
Training Camp Level I is for players who already have some experience with golf and are starting to take the game more seriously. Most kids in this group have been on the golf course before, and usually play at least a couple times per month outside of practice. This year, the program is broken into two separate 4-week sessions. Families can choose to enroll in one session or both, depending on their schedule and goals. Each session meets two days per week (4-5:30pm – Mon/Wed) and focuses on building strong fundamentals through structured practice and competitive, game-based training. The goal is to improve real skills while keeping kids engaged and motivated. Younger players may be in this group if they already have solid on-course experience and are comfortable playing golf.
This program is best for:
● Ages 7–12
● Kids who have played on the course before.
● Players who want to improve and practice more consistently.
● Players who are ready for more structure than Let’s Go Golf Clinics
Training Camp Level II (Ages 9–16)
Training Camp Level II is for more serious and committed junior golfers. While the age range is wider, all players in this group share one thing in common: they are highly invested in improving. Younger players in this group are typically strong for their age and may have some tournament experience. Older players are usually looking for structured, consistent training, and higher-level coaching. This group trains three days per week at KOHR (4-6pm Tues/Thurs & 9-11am on Sat.) On-Course training sessions occur every other Saturday. These On-Course sessions are a critical part of the program, and focus on learning how to actually play the game – and how to manage the course, not just hit balls on the range. The goal is to build complete golfers, not just good range players.
This program is best for:
● Ages 9–16 ● Players who practice and play regularly.
● Tournament players or highly motivated golfers.
● Kids who want a serious, structured training environment.
KOHR Academy’s Training Camp program is designed for junior golfers who want to elevate their game. This program will prepare students to join KOHR’s renowned Elite Academy program. The Training Camp runs in both the spring and fall seasons. It is taught by our Academy coaches using the same format and methodology. Sign up now and experience KOHR Academy this year.
